As the National Arts Council of Namibia, we fund projects in various artistic disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, literature, film, and cultural heritage. We support individual artists, groups, and organizations that contribute to the growth and development of the arts in Namibia.

To apply for bursaries and grants, applicants must submit a completed application form along with the required supporting documents. We review applications based on artistic merit, feasibility, and alignment with our strategic objectives. Deadlines and detailed guidelines are provided on our official platforms.

All applications go through a thorough evaluation process. We assess them based on criteria such as artistic excellence, impact, sustainability, and financial viability. A panel of experts reviews submissions and makes recommendations, ensuring fair and transparent funding decisions.

NAF

How the Council will administer the National Arts Fund (NAF):

The National Arts Council of Namibia (NACN) manages the National Arts Fund (NAF) to support arts education, projects, technical training, and mobility. Funding is allocated through a transparent process, with applications reviewed by experts based on merit, feasibility, and impact.

Grant recipients must comply with reporting requirements to ensure accountability and responsible fund use. The NACN also provides guidance and capacity-building support to applicants. Through this, the Council fosters artistic growth, professional development, and cultural exchange in Namibia.
