The National Arts Council awarded 22 grants in the 2017/18 Project cycle to the value of N$1,100,000.00.

These grants included disciplines such as (i) Dance, (ii) Multi-Disciplinary Arts, (iii) Crafts (iv) Music, (v) Photography, and what is termed as (vi) 'Other'. 'Other' usually involves those stand-alone activities related to the arts industry, but cannot strictly be classified under the regular arts disciplines. The highest single entries were N$150,000.00 each (2), and the lowest single entry was N$2,000.00. The disciplines with the most awarded grants were Multi-Disicplinary Arts (5), and Crafts (6).

Childrens Festival 2018   The 5th Children’s Arts and Cultural Festival was held in Windhoek on the 29 September 2018 and included performences by students from the College of the Arts, YONA, People’s Primary School, Dr Frans Indongo Primary School and Havana Primary School.

AFOKAA Workshop Project Image   The Arts Entrepreneurship Training and Craft-Skill Mentorship Workshop organised by the Art Foundation of Kavango & Artists Association (AFOKAA) and was held at the Rundu Teachers Resources Centre & Maria Mwengere Cultural Centre in Rundu from the 01 March to the 03 August 2018.
